Kalynn Rayann

I finally have some time to update my blog. I wanted to post some pictures of Kalynn. We just love her to pieces. Brody is such a good big brother. He loves to hold her and he loves it when she holds his finger. Shane and I are so lucky to have two great kids!!

Having two kids is a big adjustment but were starting to get the hang of things and its going great!!

Brodys Campout with Grandma and Papa

In September Brody spent the night at Grandma and Papas house. They set up tents and had a campout. Brody thought it was so cool. They had a boys tent and a girls tent and he slept in the boys tent – all night!! He had so much fun!IMG_6378IMG_6400  IMG_6384 IMG_6394

Kalynn Rayann is here!!

Wow! What a crazy last few days.

I had a doctors appointment scheduled for Wednesday 10-6-10 and when I got to the office, my doctor had been called out on a C-Section and wasn't available. They tried to get me to reschedule for the next day but something just wasn't right. I had been cramping and as much as I believed it was nothing, my Mom and Shane didn't think so. So, I told the receptionist I needed to come back that day because of the cramping and they got me in at 1:30pm. So, Shane and I went back at 1:30. I really was expecting my doctor to tell me to just take it easy and get rest and not do so much but thats not really the case!! She checked me and I was already dialated to 4.5!! She said I needed to go to the hospital to be monitored and see how close my contractions were. I couldnt believe it! I was in labor! So, we went back to work to get our stuff and tell everyone we were leaving, we went home and got our suitcase and the babies car seat - just in case... and we got to the hospital about 2:45pm.

I checked into labor and delivery and they immediately started monitoring me. My contractions were about 5 minutes apart. I was completely thinned and when my doctor got the hospital to check on me she said "were going to have a baby today!!" I couldn't believe it!! I wasn't suppose to have Kalynn until November 4th!

I got an epidural and it worked great at first but then I started to slowly begin to feel my contractions. The epidural wasnt working anymore!! To make things worse, my doctor came in and decided my contractions were so close together that it was time to break my water and deliver. So, I was feeling EVERYTHING and it was the worse pain of my life!! But when I heard Kalynn cry for the first time, it was so sweet!! She was perfect. They gave her an apgar score of 10 and kept talking about how perfectly pink she was. She weighed 5lbs 13oz and 20in long. She is so teeny tiny but perfect.

Brody couldn't be more excited. He is such a good brother and wants to take care of her and help with everything. He gets upset when she cries because he is not sure whats wrong but he is learning how to figure out what she is crying about. He likes to give her her binky and he loves it when she holds his hand. It is so great seeing him try to take care of her. I just love both of them so much!!

So, we left the hospital yesterday (Friday, October 8th) and now were just at home adjusting to having a little one around. She is such a good baby and things are going great!!

Here is a picture of Brody and Kalynn when we were getting ready to take her home. I have lots more pictures Ill upload later...

California Trip!

Our best friends were going to Pala California for the 2010 Lucas Oil Dirt Bike Finals and Shane and I decided at the last minute that we would go so we could see them. This was our last trip before the baby comes. We had lots of fun and we really enjoyed seeing them again… Brody had so much fun watching the dirt bikes and getting his picture taken with “the hot girls”

Every morning the teacher does roll call and she has cards that say the kids name and then, “is here”. This picture is of her holding the card that says “Brody is here”. When she says it, he has to raise his hand and say here. He got embarrassed when it was his turn but he did what he was suppose to.

After school was over, I picked him up and he had a great day! I'm sure hell like Kindergarten!!
