My most expensive investment!

So Saturday morning was pretty intersting. I had just gotten a letter saying that our insurance stopped in Arizona so as of Friday we are uninsured!! So, of course leave it to my son to do something crazy. He was running through the house (which he knows he is not suppose to do) and he tripped and busted his head on the stair railing. The crown molding got him right in his forehead and he had blood all over his face. So, Shane and I rushed him to the ER ($150). They looked at his head ($200) and then decided to glue it together (didnt need stiches, wasnt that deep). So they pulled out a little stick of dermabond (which mind you, you can purchase at walgreens for $3.00) (cost us probably $200). So, after the doctor was done the receptionist comes in and asks me for a $300 deposit - what the &%*%!! $300 - that is rediculous. I told her no way. So she gave me a form to fill out for CHIP (state insurance) and believe it or not, it was a spanish form. So when I asked her for an english version she told me they didnt have english forms. OK - do I look like I speak Spanish!! So, Shane of course got so upset... It was just a horrible experience. So, here is the damage after its all glued up and he was feeling better...

That sucks!! Its amazing how expensive stuff like that can be. Do you not have insurance at your new job?
