Brody Max!!

Brody Max ~ Youve gotten so big! Your five years old and so super smart! Your dad and I just love you to pieces. I wanted to start keeping record of all the things you and your sister do on my blog so this is the first "Brody Max - What are you up to?" post!

What are you up to?

* Your 43 pounds

* You LOVE GI Joes! Your constantly playing GI Joes - either your a Marine or you have all your guys spread out on the floor fighting each other. Your dad and I are constantly stepping on GI Joes - they are all over the house.

* You have become an awesome big brother. You are always taking care of Kalynn and if she cries, you try to get her to stop. You always tell her "its ok, brothers here!" Its so cute! You have made Mommy and Daddy so happy.

* You were going to Escalante and you had Mrs. Morey as a teacher but because we are moving we had to move you to a new school. You had your first day there today. You were sad to leave your old friends but excited to make new ones.

* You can count and you love to read! You love to sound out new words and you love to write sentences.

* You learned every letter in the alphabet and what each letter says. You passed your test at school and Daddy bought you the electronic battleship game you wanted. You LOVE to play this game!

* You love Gunner and still talk about him everyday. You always talk to Grandma Christensen, Scotty and Gunner in Heaven.

*  You are not a morning person! It takes me forever to get you out of bed!

* You're a great friend. Your teacher even told me that in your first teacher/parent conference you had.

* You do a great job at coloring. Since you started school you have gotten so much better at staying in the lines and your pictures are always awesome!

* You love your family so much. You always tell us "I Love you everywhere I go"

* You love to build forts. This was a fort you made out of a box and what you wrote was so cute:

* You have really been into taking pictures with my camera lately. Here are a few pictures you took of your sister:

Brody, we love you so much. You are getting so big and everyday you become such a great little kid. You make us so happy! xoxo

Kalynn is 1 month old!

Kalynn ~ on Wednesday, November 3rd - you turned 4 weeks old! 1 Month!
Time has flown by so fast. You are getting so big. Im not sure what your "official" weight is yet. We go back to the doctors when you are 2 months but you sure are getting bigger.

What are you up to?

* You are wearing size 1 diapers
* You sleep for most the day and we are still working on getting you to sleep more at night
















* You've smiled a couple times
* You love to take baths! Especially since your cord fell off and you can sit in your tub with warm water! You love it.
* You love your big brother. He is always trying to help do things for you. He loves when you hold onto his finger. He is also trying to get you to play with GI Joes - but your just not into them!

* Daddy calls you his little monkey!
* You hate having a dirty diaper! Even if its just a little wet - you scream like crazy. As soon as we change you - you are happy :) We go through a TON of diapers!
* Daddy bought you a play mat that has really cool lights and plays music. You like to lay there and stare at yourself in the mirror.
















* You can hold your head up! You've actually done this for a while. We lay you on our chest and you pop your head up and look around. Its so cute!
*You had jaundice really bad and we were going everyday for a week to get your blood tested for it. But you got over it finally and are doing much better!

We love you so much Kalynn!! We cant believe how big you have gotten in just the month that youve been here! Its so crazy to think that you turned a month on November 3rd and you werent even due until November 4th!!

Maternity Pictures

I dreaded it!! But I knew if I didnt do it, I would regret it. So, I got my fat preggo butt ready and went and got maternity pictures done. I am SOOO GLAD I DID!! Alicia from Alicia Jane Photography did my maternity pictures and she did an awesome job. I was so happy... 

We went on Saturday October 2nd - just in the knick of time considering Kalynn came early and I had her on October 6th. 

My favorite picture. Brody is always finding dandelions and giving them to me to make wishes. So, this was just a perfect picture and I love it!!

Marissa Vargasson is a great photorapher here in Utah. She did pictures for me of Kalynn and did an awesome job!! She has sent me three so far and I love them so much I had to post them already. Once I get the rest of them, Ill post those also. There were a few of Brody and Kalynn together that I cant wait to see!!

Halloween 2010

This year Brody went as Sky Walker from Star Wars. I think he just liked the gun and the light saber that went with the outfit. Kayla got him the light saber and he LOVED it!! We had lots of fun.

Wheeler Farm Kindergarten Field Trip

On October 28, 2010 Grandma Linda went with Brody to Wheeler Farm for his Kindergarten field trip. It was the first time he rode on the big yellow bus and Grandma said that he thought it was so neat. They had lots of fun and Brody was so excited that Grandma was able to go with him.
