Snow

It snowed yesterday... and snowed... and snowed. It snowed so much. I was so nervous driving to work but I made it and all is good. Shane took Brody up the mountain behind our house to play in the snow when I was at work. They sent me these cute pictures and I wanted to share them. I cant believe how big my little baby boy looks. He is growing up so fast and learning so much. I love him to peices.

Baby Layla

So, the first thing I want to share is my new neice, Layla Kay Hickman. She is so precious. She was born 6lbs 11oz. She had some problems when she was born but she is doing well. When she was born she had trouble breathing on her own. Because she went so long without breathing she has to be monitored to make sure there is no brain damage. So far so good. Theyve done testing and everything looks good. They keep a cold pac on her head to keep the swelling down and there is swelling because she is not moving around to much. So, hopefully they get to take her home soon. They took her off all the tubes yesterday. I cant wait until Doug and Jodi can get their precious baby home...

So, here is Layla Kay Hickman...

Shane and I know exactly how Doug and Jodi feel. We went through the same things they are with Brody when he was born. There is nothing worse than leaving your baby in the hospital but, it does get better. We love you guys and are thinking about you everyday!

Thanksgiving Weekend

So our thanksgiving weekend was wonderful. We were so happy to be here in Utah with our family and we had a blast. We started with Thanksgiving dinner at Cindy and Craigs house. Craig cooked the turkey and it was so good. Brody didnt know what to do with all his cousins. He had so much fun.
It was my grandparents 51st wedding anniversary. They are such wonderful people and Im so thankful they are my grandparents.
Friday was grandpas birthday. We all went out to the sand dunes and had so much fun. Brody played in the sand all day and loved it. Ryann Star and Brody love playing together. Ryann has this little laugh that is so cute and she is always laughing at how silly Brody is.
We went for a ride in the jeep up the mountain behind our house and Shane let Brody shoot his Beebee gun (not sure I spelt that right).
This weekend we get to watch our cousin Angelle. Cody and Lorie are going to Wendover. Im so excited to watch her. Itll be fun having a little girl around. She gets to go to Genola with us for Ryann Stars birthday. Ryann turned 3 and Brody cant wait to go to her party.
Well, I took so many pictures I had to add them to slideshows. There are 3 of them below so enjoy :)

My most expensive investment!

So Saturday morning was pretty intersting. I had just gotten a letter saying that our insurance stopped in Arizona so as of Friday we are uninsured!! So, of course leave it to my son to do something crazy. He was running through the house (which he knows he is not suppose to do) and he tripped and busted his head on the stair railing. The crown molding got him right in his forehead and he had blood all over his face. So, Shane and I rushed him to the ER ($150). They looked at his head ($200) and then decided to glue it together (didnt need stiches, wasnt that deep). So they pulled out a little stick of dermabond (which mind you, you can purchase at walgreens for $3.00) (cost us probably $200). So, after the doctor was done the receptionist comes in and asks me for a $300 deposit - what the &%*%!! $300 - that is rediculous. I told her no way. So she gave me a form to fill out for CHIP (state insurance) and believe it or not, it was a spanish form. So when I asked her for an english version she told me they didnt have english forms. OK - do I look like I speak Spanish!! So, Shane of course got so upset... It was just a horrible experience. So, here is the damage after its all glued up and he was feeling better...
